2005 DUCATI 749 Xerox Replica

This bike was purchased by us in 2021 from the previous owner in NSW with a low 25,000klms on the clock due to the fact that this bike spent most of it's life on the race track.
The fairing was marked with gravel/road rash and It showed signs of cosmetic wear but overall it was in excellent mechanical condition and has obviously been serviced regularly.

The 749 was available in four versions (749/749Dark/749S/749R) - this one is the 749Dark also known as an H5 which was factory painted with a black fairing, frame and wheels for an aggressive appearance.

The Terblanche designed 749/999 bikes, when released in 2003, were initially shunned by Ducatista due to their radical design, but in fact they were ahead of their time with features such as CanBus wiring, adjustable steering head and an integrated exhaust system - features now found on later model bikes.

This particular bike is the last of them, a series two model with the updated swing arm and twin vent front fairing, - all that was required to get this bike back to its former glory was a full service, cam belts, quick shifter, a fancy new Xerox fairing kit and minor detailing.

This has turned out to be a stunning bike and a real head turner and a perfect match for our 999 Xerox Replica.
